If you’re interested in any of the grants on offer through the Independent Makers and Presenters Program, hurry, as applications close 1 April.

This funding through Arts South Australia supports South Australian based independent artists, writers, performers and organisations.

Categories include:

Individual Development:  Individual Development supports the professional development of individual, independent artists through master classes, workshops, mentorships, attendance at conferences, attachments to arts organisations or participation in arts residencies.

Building Pathways:  Building Pathways helps South Australian artists increase their national and international profile and presentation opportunities by developing connections with influential interstate and international galleries, agents, publishers, producers and presenters.

Emerging Artists Mentorship: Emerging Artists Mentorships foster a learning environment for individual emerging artists to enhance their arts practice through a one-on-one professional relationship with a significant practitioner. Mentorships are a valuable way to develop new artistic and conceptual skills and advance career planning and professionalism.

Project Grants: Project Grants support independent artists in the development of new work and its production or presentation. The grant also assists touring and expansion of markets of new and existing works, regionally, nationally and internationally.

All of these share a closing date of 1 April, but please visit the official site for details on their varying notification and commencement dates.
