Applications are now open for the Fleurieu Folk Festival 2016 edition – which just happens to be its gala 10th year celebration!

The annual 3 day family friendly celebration of contemporary and traditional folk music is held in the picturesque Willunga, and it just picked up its second Community Event of the Year award.

Showcasing 50+ local, interstate and international acts, folk musicians all all genres descend on the Fleurieu, from traditional, acoustic, celtic, to blues, roots and bluegrass. The fest itself features concerts, plus workshops, jam sessions, dancers, blackboard concerts and children’s entertainment.

Be a part of it and submit your application by 30 April.

In the meantime, congrats to Fleurieu Folk Festival founder and co-director Peter Thornton who is being inducted into the SA Music Hall of Fame on the 1st of April.
