Scouted will be returning in 2022 as part of Music SA’s Umbrella Festival this August in Adelaide’s East End.
Expressions of interest are now open for local unsigned bands and artists!
Scouted has become a fantastic initiative for local emerging bands to be showcased in front of national music industry professionals. In collaboration with the Australian Independent Record label association (AIR), Scouted provides the opportunity for local artists to amplify their voices on a larger platform. Participating bands will be able to perform at the Scouted event in front of a local audience as well as east coast music industry professionals.
In previous years, Scouted has helped facilitate incredible opportunities for its participants. In 2019, local bands Glowing, Pinkish Blu and TOWNS went on to support the likes of Spacey Jane, RAT!hammock, G Flip, Odette, Dear Seattle and Ruby Fields after participating in Scouted. In 2021, Scouted performers The Empty Threats scored Triple J radio play for their latest EP and recently graced the stage of one of South Australia’s biggest festivals, WOMADelaide 2022.
