Anne Wiberg

Chair

Anne Wiberg’s career has been extremely diverse working in local government, state government, numerous arts and music festivals in South Australia, the corporate sector, the contemporary music industry and the performing arts industries. She has worked as a social worker, youth worker, community development worker, counsellor, program manager, team leader, event manager, and festival producer and programmer.

Over the years, she has sat on various committees, judging panels, assessment teams and boards including the SA Live Arts Board and has chaired Music SA for the pst four years.

After over 20 years working for various arts related companies, Anne has recently started her own business to work as a freelancer in music, arts and event management. The focus of her work is project management, programming, and event producing.

Her most recent roles include, Contemporary Music Consultant at Grounded/Super Massive festival 2018, Music Programmer at Darwin Festival 2018, Content Producer at Adelaide Fringe Festival 2018, Associate Producer at Adelaide Festival of Ideas 2018 & Programming Director at Ruby Awards 2017.

In addition to her project work, Anne also mentors students annually for the University of South Australia’s Business Mentorship program and she DJ’s regularly at private functions and local events.

Tim Haslam

Treasurer

Tim Haslam is an experienced Chartered Accountant, working with highly regarded South Australian business services firm Perks. His main focus is providing strategic advice and solutions on accounting, tax and financial management issues to private businesses and individuals.

Combined with a diverse range of skills drawn from a career in finance spanning Adelaide, London and Sydney, Tim also has extensive knowledge and experience in the Australian music industry. Several years with the Secret Sounds Group (incorporating Splendour in the Grass and Falls Festival) were invaluable in gaining a rich understanding of the music business. As a musician also, Tim has tickled the ivory for decades as a solo performer, accompanist and with numerous bands across the country.

Craig Swann

Director

For over 25 years, Craig’s passion has been using technology to connect people and music – through innovative, intimate and interactive experiences. Currently, as Founder of Looplabs, he is focused on developing new interactive music products and experiences that break down barriers to making music – while connecting the world. Craig has received special recognition at SxSW for development of the web’s first drag’n’drop interface and has won the prestigious Webby Award. Craig believes in prototyping the future – that making is breaking – and that if it’s not fun, exciting or affecting lives it’s not worth doing.

Deb Edwards

Deb Edwards has notched up a career of 35 years working in the Australian music industry having started out in the mid 80’s volunteering at Adelaide’s No. 1 FM radio station SAFM, then moving into senior State Promotion Manager roles for major record companies EMI Music, Virgin Records and Sony Music across a 10-year period. 7 years in Melbourne saw Deb working as PA and Tour Coordinator to legendary concert and theatrical promoter Garry Van Egmond and as a publicist for one of Melbourne’s leading PR companies, Kerry O’Brien Publicity.
Upon returning to Adelaide, in 2003 Deb joined the Adelaide Entertainment Centre as Corporate Hospitality Supervisor, then in 2008 launched Deb Edwards Publicity to provide a complete promotional and marketing service in South Australia, which quickly expanded to undertaking album release and tour projects nationally for a long list of high profile Australian musicians.

Deb Edwards Publicity specialises in national PR for the Australian country music industry and has two of its most popular artists as her long-time clients of 10 years – Troy Cassar-Daley and Adam Harvey.

The Superloop Adelaide 500 concert series (formerly Clipsal 500) have engaged Deb as its Concert PR manager since 2012.

A proud Yankunytjatjara woman, Deb also represents other First Nations artists which includes dance troupe Djuki Mala from North East Arnhem Land and she has recently been appointed PR and Marketing consultant to Tandanya National Aboriginal Cultural Institute, after having managed PR for their inaugural First Nations Fringe Hub during the 2020 Adelaide Fringe Festival.

Angus Crawford

Secretary

Angus Crawford is qualified lawyer and a muso at heart. Honing a unique combination of skills, he works for global law firm Dentons practising mainly in the areas of banking & finance and commercial law.

He is also a successful musician, playing in one of Adelaide’s most cheery, colour-clad bands. His passion for music has led to opportunities to play shows to crowds of thousands and have his music heard online by millions – all originating from humble Adelaide, South Australia. He lives and breathes the SA music scene.

Angus’ experience as an artist and a professional affords a holistic understanding of music business. He has seen first-hand the impact that support from non-for-profit arts organisations can have on the careers of emerging and established musicians alike.

Kim Roberts

General Manager

Kim Roberts has been an active member of the local music community for the last 20 years, with experience including artist management, festival work and music media. If she’s not performing in one of her bands or broadcasting on community radio, you can catch her at the front of the crowd watching your favourite local band.

Kim is also a skilled business administrator, IT professional and experienced vocational trainer, specialising in curriculum development and e-learning.

Jacqui Nikolic

Business Systems I Finance

Jacqui Nikolic is an accomplished office coordinator with over 10 years of experience in the RTO, retail and construction industry. She is highly proficient in business administration and holds various qualifications in management, SFX makeup and film. Jacqui has a keen interest in the music scene and has been involved with events across SA and Victoria. She is also an emerging needlepoint artist with a keen interest for embroidery.

Lauren Koopowitz

Marketing – Umbrella Festival

Lauren Koopowitz is our Umbrella Festival Marketing Coordinator. After having studied a Bachelor of Media and a Bachelor of Arts (maj. French) at the University of Adelaide, she has had roles mostly in marketing and events management, including her own company Quirks Media Productions. In addition, she is a professional actor (most noted roles, “Ash” from the Ash Vlogs/IKWSI ARG – 2018, “Carrie” from “Carrie’s Doing Great” – 2020, and “Isabelle” from “Rabbit” – 2016) and singer-songwriter with Diamond Skies.

Stevie Pitkin

Umbrella Festival Programmer

After spending the past 20 odd years performing and touring in numerous bands Stevie Pitkin is now utilising his experience to support emerging independent artists through a range of live music bookings. Steve curates a range of local festivals including Scumfest and Root Down and is the current Programmer for the Umbrella Festival. After undergoing the Stigwood Fellowship and the mentorship of Stu Macqueen in 2015 he has grown into a creatively motivated Festival Designer and Curator with a huge passion for Live Music in South Australia.

Joel Byrne

Industry Development Projects | New Release Features | Live Music Bookings

Joel Byrne has spent the last 12 or so years travelling around Australia and the rest of the world singing and playing guitar in Adelaide rock band, Wolf & Cub. As the founder and main songwriter for this act he brings a wealth of experience and industry knowledge to the role of Industry Development Coordinator. Throughout this time Joel has also had some experience with band management, live music bookings, marketing, touring and event promotion and planning including Bands On Track.

Dale Taylor

Music Business Courses – Music Business, Songwriting, Performance

Dale Taylor is a multi-instrumentalist, songwriter, producer, mix and mastering engineer from Adelaide. Dale has performed on a local, national and international level over the past 18 years. He has worked with local and international artists in many genres from Techno, Rock, Hip-hop, Electronica to World Music. Currently, Dale is the Guitarist of the Adelaide band “The Cities Alight”.

Emily Faulkner

Peter Hanlon Intern

Graduating in Business and Marketing in 2016, Emily went on to continue her studies in Live Productions and began volunteering and working at various festivals and events such as Adelaide Festival, WOMADelaide, Adelaide Fringe and many more. She’s busy working in the areas of Lighting, Sound and Artist Management for her Adelaide-based label Turnaround Presents, booking events for Live Music Venue, The Gov.
