The Adelaide music scene welcomes the opening of “The Backyard”, a new venue in Port Adelaide that will ‘play host to a community of creative entrepreneurs and a live gig series’ this summer.
Supported by Renew Adelaide, musicians Alicia Hettner and Kelly Brouhaha have joined forces on the venture, putting to good use their particular skills in teaching creative businesses how to not go broke.
Through mentors and self education Alicia now runs multiple successful businesses as a lifestyle coach and professional musician, and Kelly is known for her work as a regular touring musician, musician business coach, and owner of label ‘Feelgood Folk’.
The Backyard will host free workshops, and there will be office space and hot desks available to the public after its official launch on 20 November.
Watch for a live gig series on Sundays in December and January.
