Music SA is proud to collaborate with Support Act to present their South Australian focussed 2022/23 program. Support Act will be presenting a brand new range of mental health support services and wellbeing programs specifically for SA!
Thanks to a $250,000 grant provided by the South Australian Government as part of the See it LIVE music package, a range of industry-specific prevention, education and training programs will take place throughout the year.
First up will be mental health and wellbeing workshop On My Mind – Sound Minds: Mental Health in Music & How to Give & Get Help, presented live and in person at Lion Arts Factory on Wednesday 31 August 2022.
For those unfamiliar with the On My Mind series, this will be a panel discussion event exploring mental health and wellbeing for those who work within the music industry. In the Sound Minds live panel, you’ll hear from some of Adelaide’s best and brightest artists and Support Act’s own mental health team about what life is really like working in music. You’ll also walk away with practical tips and tools to support those experiencing mental health issues, and learn strategies to help us build a mentally healthy future for everyone in the Aussie music scene.

The funding will also ensure that you can continue accessing the Support Act Wellbeing Helpline – a free, confidential phone counselling service accessible 24 hours a day, 365 days per year by calling 1800 959 500.
