Kim Salmon is touring Australia at the moment, in support of his new solo album “My Script”. According to the press kit we were sent, the writing process for this album is unlike any of his other material. He says “his has been the approach all along. i.e. go with whatever idea I’ve had and take it where I could. It was decided early on that this could be done with very little involvement from other musicians to bring its inherent compromises to a minimum. There is only a small use of a rhythm section for a couple of the tracks. This album has been orchestrated for the larger part with me playing whatever was needed eg, ‘drum loop’ Dictaphone with a ‘string section’ loop, or an smartphone 808 APP.”

This should be an amazing show, with special backing band Sair Portaro (drums – HELGA, Glovebox, YoungHusband, The Rebelles) and Pete the Stud Howlett (Bloodsuckin Freaks, Backseat Romeos, Pro Tools). Along for the launch will be local rockers St Morris Sinners. Head along to the Crown & Anchor on Friday 15 April for all them music feels….
