MusicSA today announce Caressa and LOLA as the South Australian support acts for Hilltop Hoods and Guns N’ Roses at the bp Adelaide Grand Final concerts this November, as part of Good Music Month.
Music fans are in for a massive weekend on November 28 and 29, as two of South Australia’s most exciting rising acts share the stage with homegrown heroes and global icons. Harmony-rich five-piece ‘tarot rockers’ Caressa join Hilltop Hoods, Ball Park Music, CYRIL and Teenage Joans on Saturday, November 28, while high-octane punk outfit LOLA take the stage ahead of Guns N’ Roses and special guests Airbourne on Sunday, November 29.
In partnership with the South Australian Motor Sport Board, these supporting performances celebrate South Australia’s thriving live music industry, putting local South Australian talent on one of the biggest stages in the country and highlighting the depth and diversity of the state’s music scene.
Saturday, November 28 — Hilltop Hoods + Ball Park Music + CYRIL + Teenage Joans + Caressa
Australian music royalty Hilltop Hoods headline an unmissable all-Australian line-up on Saturday night, with Caressa flying the flag for South Australia’s next generation.
Drawing on the classic sounds of the ’60s and ’70s, Caressa are a five-piece known for huge harmonies and heartfelt songwriting, with a sound that moves between rock, blues, country and folk; think Fleetwood Mac and the Eagles with a fresh twist. Caressa have built a loyal following on the Adelaide live circuit, supporting The Wanderers and Stefan Hauk and playing Semaphore Music Festival.
Sunday, November 29 — Guns N’ Roses + Airbourne + LOLA
Taking the stage ahead of Guns N’ Roses and Airbourne, LOLA are an Adelaide four-piece “turning heads and starting mosh pits all over Australia”. Just back from a European tour, LOLA pair energetic, feel-good punk rock with a hard-working, old-school ethic, writing songs about life, politics, bad situations and good-natured partying.
Their latest single Came Here To Die has been hailed as a “punchy Aussie pop-punk song” full of “skate-punk adrenaline”.
MusicSA CEO, Christine Schloithe, said:
“This main-stage opportunity that is opened up for local South Australian acts every year continues to be a once-in-a-lifetime gig for these artists. It provides significant exposure for our state’s emerging original music, incredible professional development outcomes for the bands and connects them with new audiences.”
bp Adelaide Grand Final Concert Manager, Brian Gleeson OAM said:

“This incredible opportunity for Caressa and LOLA is part of a longstanding partnership the event has with Music SA that has allowed numerous South Australian artists to open for massive Australian and International acts and make their name known on the national scene.”
The bp Adelaide Grand Final Race Concert Series is a highlight of South Australia’s event calendar, blending worldclass motorsport with worldclass music, and forms part of Good Music Month, a statewide celebration of South Australian live music each November, presented by MusicSA.
