Amelia Rooney

Amelia Is a composer/writer based in Adelaide, South Australia with a strong passion for music and theatre. she gravitates towards ambient and atmospherical pieces that cross BETWEEN neoclassical and minimalism, originally starting her composing career writing traditional classical piano works. Amelia has predominately worked in live theatre, with recent compositional works: “bimbo” (2021,2022, & 2023), Pieces for dance “contemporary” (2017-2022), and “the book of everything” (2023). she has also worked in film scoring, scoring her first short film “king.” (2022) for the 48 hour short film festival. Amelia’s goal is to keep experimenting with new styles and improving on her musicality and looks forward to starting any new project.
