Michaela Burger

Growing up with the backdrop of the vast Australia desert of Coober Pedy Michaela Burger [nee Lucas] knew, from an early age, that music was her life.

Writing her first song at age 12 she has since built an original repertoire of eclectic music styles with jazz, pop, rock, lounge and folk influences. Trained extensively in classical voice and musical theatre and working in opera, musical theatre, cabaret and film both in Australia and Europe her passion for songwriting continued to grow over the years and has now come into the foreground of her career.

She has performed her original music in the UK, Germany, France and South Africa, where her music and voice were very well received. Her music has been likened to Tori Amos, Missy Higgins, Florence and the Machine, The Waifs, Joni Mitchell and Kate Bush.
