South Australis’s annual celebration of live, local music, Good Music Month, returns across November, uniting our talented and vibrant music scene under one epic, state-wide program.
From the Adelaide CBD to the Far North, Fleurieu, West Coast and South East, more than 150 events will take place across venues, parks and open spaces throughout the month, celebrating every corner of South Australia’s music community and the audiences that keep music alive.
Running from 1–30 November and presented by MusicSA, today’s first program announcement showcases an incredibly diverse range of performances taking place across the state, from grassroots gigs to major concerts with highlights including major international acts such as Iron Maiden, who celebrate 50 years with Megadeth at Adelaide Entertainment Centre, where 5 Seconds of Summer, Dermot Kennedy, Two Door Cinema Club with The Vaccines, and Australia favourite childrens group, The Wiggles, will also also play.
ROWENA WISE and #1 Dads will hit the stage at the Grace Emily, while Hindley Street Music Hall will host The Angels’ 50th anniversary celebration of ‘Am I Ever Gonna See Your Face Again’, The Mark of Cain, Hoodoo Gurus’ 45th anniversary Rewind Tour, Kool & The Gang and country star Wade Forster.
Local legends The Tullamarines are set to launch their new single ‘Flight Path’ at the Lion Arts Factory, which will also host Sly Withers, and Odette launching her third album Blink.
Good Music Month is an open access festival, inviting everyone who is presenting live music in November, whether it’s original, classical, jazz, cabaret, opera, pop or folk, to register their event and be part of the program.
From artists and venues, to councils, promoters, and community organisers, the initiative connects and celebrates the enormous scope of live music activity taking place across right across South Australia, amplifying one important message for audiences: Live Music. All Across SA. All Yours. Get into it. Go Find it.
