ABOUT THE POSITION

MusicSA is responsible for identifying and delivering Industry and Professional Development to support and connect the local music industry by increasing skills, expertise and capacity and driving audience development.

The Industry Development Manager has the responsibility for the development, management and successful delivery of MusicSA’s Industry and Professional Development programs through partnerships and networks, new pathways and opportunities, consultation and new programs and audience development initiatives.

The role is part-time (FTE0.6), flexible and is being offered on a 2 (two) years contract.

  

ABOUT YOU

MusicSA is seeking interest from industry professionals who have a strong background in and a professional working knowledge of the contemporary music industry. The right candidate will be knowledgeable, passionate and keen to work with all facets of the industry to build industry. They will also have experience and a sound understanding of national and international industry and trends. Strong interpersonal skills and a respectful communicative style are highly valued. The candidate will also possess excellent administrative, project and program management skills.

The right candidate does not need to be an expert in every aspect of the industry but may have skills in a niche speciality, an understanding of the contemporary music industry landscape and great networks.
