The Music Writer’s Lab 2023: South Australia Program

MusicSA and the South Australian Government’s Music Development Office are proud to present the Music Writer’s Lab 2023 program alongside MusicNT and Australia Council for the Arts.

A selected group of emerging writers participate in a critical music journalism mentor program, where they will connect and work with a team of established Australian music journalists and industry figures.

Across these mentoring sessions, the mentees will learn key skills and develop unique content while engaging in discussions surrounding relevant and poignant topics through an accompanying presentation series.

Using WOMADelaide and the Adelaide Fringe, as well as their mentoring sessions as inspiration, the emerging writers will create unique pieces of content (whether it be live review, artist profile or industry op-ed feature), that will live online with a publishing partner of The Music Writer’s Lab and The Note.
