Over what was a massive weekend for our city, Ruck & Roll boasted 60 live gigs across some of the city’s best restaurants, bars and pubs, with 39 sets played on the street and 21 inside venues over Thurs 4 – Sun 7 April.
The four-day live music activation delivered by MusicSA and City of Adelaide brought the original music of 28 local musicians to thousands of South Aussies and interstaters, over a weekend that attracted many thousands of visitors to our state from all over Australia for the highly anticipated footy weekend.

As a UNESCO designated City of Music, Ruck & Roll highlighted the sheer amount of local talent that thrives in our city and our city’s establishments, with gigs across 18 different venues over Adelaide’s central, West End, East End, City South, South East, South West AND North Adelaide. There’s no corner of the city that doesn’t love supporting local music, and it showed.
Punters and passers-by at venues like Nearly, Bar Torino, Etica, Shotgun Willie’s, The Archer, The Howling Owl, clad in their fave footy team’s merch, dined, drank gathered and cheered to the sounds of local musos such as Kaurna Cronin, My Cherié, Kelly Menhennett, Harrison Lowe, Bianca Feher and more.
