This year’s South Australian Music Awards is going au naturel with a plant-based menu of food and beverage from some of our state’s most exciting local suppliers.

Music SA has created a beautiful grazing menu for the annual gala event coming up on November 22 at Bonython Hall to celebrate the efforts and achievements of the South Australian music community.

With a delectable range of food on offer, the entirely plant-based fare is almost deserving of an award itself.

“We have a full menu from canapés to desserts created by local suppliers, which will be absolutely delicious as well as healthy and environmentally responsible,” Music SA CEO Lisa Bishop says. “We have such excellent caterers here in South Australia who can provide the best quality food, and if it helps us all be a bit healthier and make positive change, we want to be part of that.”

Samosas, sushi and plant-based sausage rolls are the opening act, followed by an entrée of grazing platters across guests’ tables by BitsnBites Adl. The main event is three different types of pizza (with gluten-free options) by Adelaide Woodfired Pizza and the Woodfired Pizza Co with cinnamon and chocolate doughnuts from Enjoy Bakeryin Norwood to sweeten the night.

With a theme of sharing and caring, SAM Awards guests will enjoy grazing on fresh vegetables, fruit, nuts, bread and dips, before tucking into a main course and dessert while celebrating the hard work and achievements of their peers.

Even the beverages, supplied by Adelaide Hills Cider, Yalumba and Young Henry’s are plant-based, with the bar located on the lawns of Elder Con, so guests can savour the spring evening with great food, drinks, accolades and entertainment.

Performances on the night will be by local superstars Stellie, Jess Day, Horror My Friend and Jimblah, making it an evening of celebration not to be missed.
