Scouted is evolving and here’s why.

Scouted has been part of South Australia’s music landscape for well over a decade. It’s given emerging artists a professional stage, a national audience and an important moment in the spotlight. That matters, and we’re proud of what it’s delivered, the opportunities it has generated for artists and industry and the visibility it has created on the South Australian industry.

We have evaluated Scouted for years and have reached the following conclusion: Scouted has done what it set out to do in showcase form and now it’s time for something new to keep growing and strengthening our local emerging artists.

So, we’re changing the model.

MusicSA is developing a new model of professional and industry development tailored for emerging local artists.

But what about Scouted?

The goal hasn’t changed. We still exist to support and elevate emerging South Australian artists. We’re currently putting final details to a new program and a different way to achieving more sustainable outcomes for emerging artists, with documented outcomes, real industry connections, and a clear pathway toward export-ready showcases and career opportunities.
