Druid Fluids:

Druid Fluids focus on the beauty and freedom of serious song writing and are now defining their own range and style, signalling their intention to follow feelings rather than be restricted by genre. Their songs evoke a depth of emotion that is expressed but often not explained. They paint with colours reminiscent of Lennon and Floyd, but the sum of these parts is fresh and compelling. Their catalogue of original material honours and evokes the most powerful tones of psychedelic pop and rock songwriting. Druid Fluids is the brainchild of frontman and songwriter Jamie Andrew, who writes, records, and performs nearly all parts. Since their inception, the band has risen to quick notoriety with impressive live shows around Australia’s scene, and more recently, a 20-show European tour, including two festival appearances. Highlights from their journey include a standout performance at WOMADelaide 2024 and support slots for renowned acts such as The Brian Jonestown Massacre, Wolfmother, Psychedelic Porn Crumpets, The Murlocs, Nicholas Allbrook, Methyl Ethel, & ORB further cementing their reputation as one of the most compelling live acts emerging from the Australian psychedelic rock scene.

Greasy:

Greasy is not your average five-piece. Born in the music rooms of Flinders University and raised on a steady diet of clashing genres, this Adelaide-based band is what happens when five mates from completely different musical backgrounds accidentally make something that just works. They didn’t plan it. It just got loud and then it got good.

It all started with Noah and Will jamming between classes, just messing around with ideas. Milston joined on bass, then stepped away for a while Raph picked up the groove in his place, Bray joined on guitar to round things out, and when Milston returned on guitar, something clicked. Five members, five wildly different influences, one sound that refuses to be boxed in.

That sound? Hard to pin down. Think indie rock woven with jazz, soul, and folk, sometimes all in the same song. One track might start in a groove and end in a breakdown. Another might shift time signatures without warning but it never feels random. Greasy blends chaos with cohesion, spontaneity with swagger. Every track is a new experiment. Every live set feels alive.

Their debut gig at Arthur’s Art Bar pulled over 200 people a moment that shifted Greasy from “just jamming” to a thing worth chasing. Since then, they’ve played ticketed shows at Adelaide UniBar, gaining a rep for energetic, unpredictable sets that make you want to move, think, and move again. The band’s motto is simple:

“Have fun. Think differently. Don’t follow the rules.”

In 2025, Greasy dropped their first single “Never Out of Mind”, complete with a music video that showcases their vibe: raw, fun, a little weird but tight. They’ve recorded two more tracks at Forest Range Studios, slated for release later this year, and more in the works as the sound continues to evolve.

Greasy isn’t trying to be slick they’re just trying to be Greasy. Bold. Unpredictable. Cohesive in the chaos. Perfect for people who want something real, something left of centre, and something to dance to.

LOLA:

Combining energetic, feel-good music with a dedicated, old school work ethic, LOLA are turning heads and starting mosh pits anywhere with a stage (and preferably a half pipe). Described as a ‘refreshing taste of punk’, LOLA‘s DIY attitude is not going unnoticed; performing festivals across Australia and Europe and sharing the stage with icons such as Descendents, Pennywise, DZ Deathrays, Cosmic Psychos and The Southern River Band. Fresh off an East Coast tour with The Screaming Jets, LOLA are hitting the road again this September for a national run, off the back of their third EP PRAWN STAR (out August through Teamwrk Records). The release follows their EP Get Rich or Try Dying which landed the band on Spotify’s Fresh Finds Rock Best of 2023, New Punk, Fresh Finds AU & NZ, and Domestic La La’s Catch of the Year. Lead single Game Over also made its mark on Rage and took home Best Music Video at the 2024 South Australian Music Awards. Maisie B. :

Maisie B adores and craves connecting with others through the vulnerability of their music. An experienced performer and multi-instrumentalist, they seamlessly weave together their favourite elements of folk, jazz and alt pop to curate a sound that is texturally rich, emotionally charged and an intricate fusion of everything they love. Maisie’s first release “The Three Sugars EP“ allowed them to strive for and achieve several funding opportunities for further project creation. Their following singles “Cliché” and “Dreaming” received significant support from local radio station Three D, as well as interstate shows such as Syn Media (Sydney). Alongside this, Maisie studied the Bachelor of Jazz Performance (saxophone), where they met the members of their band. Maisie has been performing and recording with their band since 2021 but continues to also love performing as a soloist. In 2023 Maisie used funding received from the Helpmann Academy to record “The Nothing But The Sun EP”. They describe this new project as taking a darker, more complex tone than their previous releases, existing sonically in the world of First Aid Kit, Yebba and Fleetwood Mac, with a few sprinklings of Phoebe Bridgers and Lizzy McAlpine. They released the first two singles from the EP “Pull The Rug” and “The River” before the full release at the end of 2024. To Maisie, writing a song brings a story to life, and the act of performing that songs turns it into a never-ending story. They strive to continue expanding her range of human connection, hoping to play folk festivals and shows around Australia.

Nathan Hui-Yi:

Nathan Hui-Yi creates sonic worlds.

Based in the Adelaide Hills, the Asian Australian rapper, producer, and multi-instrumentalist is making waves as a true innovator, establishing himself as one of Australia’s most exciting and original emerging voices.

His music is where lush, cinematic soundscapes collide with raw hip-hop energy, where the warmth of lo-fi vinyl hiss and the swing of Dilla-inspired drums can coexist with the grandeur of orchestral strings and the tension of dissonant jazz.

With his signature stream-of-consciousness flow, Hui-Yi’s intricate bars are unflinchingly honest explorations, ranging from raw meditations on life and death (“goodbye grandpa”), to confessionals about love and lust in the age of artificial intelligence (“NO REGRETS”).

Hui-Yi made his debut splash in the underground hip-hop scene with “DIE WITH A BUZZ”, a collaborative album with Detroit rapper “Sam Be Yourself” from Netflix’s “Rhythm + Flow” rap show. Independently released on cassette tape and digitally, the album surpassed over 400k streams and scored Spotify editorial placements on “Beats n’ Bars” and “the hybrid”.

In 2024, Hui-Yi released “FOR THE LAST TIME”, a deeply intimate self-produced solo album exploring themes of love and defiance to a cinematic, ethereal soundtrack. With its singular artistic vision and DIY-edge, the record racked up over 200k streams in the six months since release and was hailed by industry legend Kuya James as “one of the best releases I’ve heard this year.”

Riding a wave of momentum, Hui-Yi has continued with an ongoing run of monthly new releases, including his boundary-pushing EP “STAND AT THE EDGE OF THE WORLD” in June 2025.

Hui-Yi’s artistry has not gone unnoticed; he was a winner of the Triple J x NIDA Competition, selected for the first TikTok Songhubs in Australia, and has been featured at festivals such as WOMADelaide and OzAsiaBIO – NATHAN HUI-YI
