Scouted is evolving.

For more than a decade, Scouted put emerging South Australian artists on stage in front of a national industry audience at IndieCon. It gave artists a moment, a spotlight, and a professional platform they couldn’t access anywhere else in this state.

But we’ve taken an honest look at what Scouted could and couldn’t deliver. The Friday night showcase was a great experience, and it took that format as far as it could go. 

After years of asking how we could do better, we’ve built something new.

Introducing The Scouted Sessions.

Same purpose. Different model.

Instead of one night on a stage, up to 10 emerging SA acts will receive a bespoke, intensive career development experience kicking off at IndieCon 2026. Every selected act attends IndieCon briefed, prepared, and supported, ready to walk in with purpose and walk out with real connections.

Over the three months that follow, those connections and conversations become the foundation for one-on-one mentoring, expert coaching, and a co-developed strategic plan that maps where each artist is heading over the next few years.

This isn’t a showcase. It’s a career investment in you, your goals, and your next steps.

And the pathway doesn’t end there. The Scouted Sessions is designed as the first step toward bigger opportunities: the Made in SA Showcase, national platforms like BIGSOUND, and ultimately international export activity. We want the artists who come through this program to be more ready, more connected, and more equipped than they’ve ever been.
